Description
These savory puff pastry pockets are filled with spinach and feta, making them a perfect appetizer or snack for any occasion. Crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside, they are easy to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 500 g puff pastry
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 150 g feta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper, then let cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach-feta mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can add pine nuts or herbs for extra flavor.
- These can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
