Description

A hearty carrot stew with minced meat, potatoes, and flavorful spices. Perfect as a comforting meal on cold days, this one-pot dish is filling, nutritious, and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 500 g carrots
  • 400 g potatoes
  • 400 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 l vegetable or meat broth
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Sweet paprika powder, to taste
  • Optional: marjoram or parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Peel and chop carrots and potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion until translucent.
  3. Add minced meat and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add chopped carrots, potatoes, and broth. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25–30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  7. Optional: sprinkle with marjoram or parsley before serving.

  • Use a mix of beef and pork for richer flavor.
