These protein-packed cinnamon rolls are perfect for fitness enthusiasts. Soft, fluffy, and full of cinnamon flavor, they are enriched with protein powder and Greek yogurt for a healthier twist on the classic treat.
Ingredients
- 200 g all-purpose flour (can substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour)
- 30 g protein powder
- 30 g allulose or brown sugar substitute
- 1 packet yeast
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 200 ml milk (or plant-based milk, e.g., almond or oat)
- 1 egg
- 200 g Greek yogurt (or cream cheese alternative)
- For the frosting:
- 100 g Greek yogurt
- 20 g protein powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, protein powder, sugar substitute, yeast, and cinnamon.
- Add milk, egg, and Greek yogurt. Knead until a soft dough forms.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread cinnamon evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into 8–10 rolls.
- Place rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
- Mix frosting ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
