Description
These Grilled Honey Mustard Potato Skewers are a delicious summer side dish with crispy edges and a sweet, tangy glaze. Small potatoes are coated in a flavorful honey mustard marinade with garlic and smoked paprika, then grilled until golden and irresistible.
Ingredients
- 500–700 g small waxy potatoes
- 3–4 tbsp liquid honey or agave syrup for a vegan option
- 2–3 tbsp medium-hot mustard
- 3–4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 2–3 fresh garlic cloves, finely chopped or pressed
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Smoked paprika powder
- Pinch of onion powder
- Metal skewers or wooden skewers (soak wooden skewers in water beforehand)
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them in salted water for 10–15 minutes until just tender. Drain and allow them to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix honey, mustard, olive oil, vinegar, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the potatoes and toss until evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Thread the potatoes onto skewers.
- Grill the potato skewers over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and lightly crispy.
- Brush with extra honey mustard glaze during grilling if desired.
- Serve warm with fresh herbs, dips, or grilled vegetables.
Notes
- Choose small potatoes of similar size so they cook evenly.
- For a vegan version, use agave syrup instead of honey.
- These skewers are perfect for barbecues, picnics, or as a vegetarian main dish.
- Add chili flakes for a spicy honey mustard variation.
