Description

These Grilled Honey Mustard Potato Skewers are a delicious summer side dish with crispy edges and a sweet, tangy glaze. Small potatoes are coated in a flavorful honey mustard marinade with garlic and smoked paprika, then grilled until golden and irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 500700 g small waxy potatoes
  • 34 tbsp liquid honey or agave syrup for a vegan option
  • 23 tbsp medium-hot mustard
  • 34 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 23 fresh garlic cloves, finely chopped or pressed
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Smoked paprika powder
  • Pinch of onion powder
  • Metal skewers or wooden skewers (soak wooden skewers in water beforehand)

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them in salted water for 10–15 minutes until just tender. Drain and allow them to cool slightly.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, mustard, olive oil, vinegar, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the potatoes and toss until evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Thread the potatoes onto skewers.
  5. Grill the potato skewers over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and lightly crispy.
  6. Brush with extra honey mustard glaze during grilling if desired.
  7. Serve warm with fresh herbs, dips, or grilled vegetables.

Notes

  • Choose small potatoes of similar size so they cook evenly.
  • For a vegan version, use agave syrup instead of honey.
  • These skewers are perfect for barbecues, picnics, or as a vegetarian main dish.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy honey mustard variation.
