Description

Soft and fluffy Easter nests filled with juicy apricots and creamy quark dough. A fruity, lightly sweet treat perfect for spring and Easter celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp neutral oil
  • 68 apricots (fresh or canned)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix quark, egg, milk, oil, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add flour and baking powder, then knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Divide dough into small portions and shape into nest-like rings.
  5. Place apricot halves in the center of each nest.
  6. Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • You can replace apricots with peaches or plums.
  • Add lemon zest for extra freshness.
  • Best served fresh on the same day.
