Description
Soft and fluffy Easter nests filled with juicy apricots and creamy quark dough. A fruity, lightly sweet treat perfect for spring and Easter celebrations.
Ingredients
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 300 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp milk
- 6 tbsp neutral oil
- 6–8 apricots (fresh or canned)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix quark, egg, milk, oil, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
- Add flour and baking powder, then knead into a smooth dough.
- Divide dough into small portions and shape into nest-like rings.
- Place apricot halves in the center of each nest.
- Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- You can replace apricots with peaches or plums.
- Add lemon zest for extra freshness.
- Best served fresh on the same day.
